Midsouth 2008 A Success!

Memphis: The Annual Midsouth Philosophy Conference convened this weekend at the University of Memphis for its 32nd meeting. I must say that this is by far one of the best organized and most interesting philosophy conferences around. The breadth of scholars, sessions, and interdisciplinary papers give an overall energizing and inspiring vibe. This feeling is actually tangible on my flight back home to NY, brain swimming with new ideas, and new approaches for doing the things we love the most: Philosophy! I highly recommend Midsouth for both young philosophers (like myself) and well-established professionals giving new papers a first-run. As I said, this was probably one of the best, or even the best, experience I've had at a philosophy conference, both in terms of the people met, and the comments on my work given. Below is just a few snapshots, we hope to see you there next year!!

The "Pyramid", now empty, but a new proposal will soon turn it into a Bass Pro Shop. It will have a big pool in the middle so you can test your rods, and whatnot.

Waiting for the Keynote to begin!
